I am Tristan. I am a young father and an IT professional. I constantly am learning and love to share that knowledge! My start in tech came from my time in the Marine Corps. My job consisted of lots of system administration and Help Desk duties. I soaked as much in as possible. After I got out of the Marines I continued working in two different help desks. There I am still honing my skills and working in as many areas as possible.

My personal exploits with Linux have given me a deep love of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). It give great freedom for privacy and technological freedom. There is a place for proprietary software though my intention here is to focus on the FOSS software. Integrating FOSS solutions into your personal and business lives help to keep the internet free and promote competition among big tech.
